BEST VHF DX-expedition

Best VHF DX-expedition 2007

 

The title of Best VHF DX-expedition has been awarded to the team of OH8K (OH8HSM, OH6JW, OH7ZZ, OH6HFX). Runner ups were the team of PJ4EME (PE1L, PA3CNX/PJ4NX) and the team of 3X5A (AA7A and KC7V)

Best VHF DX-expedition 2008

 

The title of best  VHF DX-expedition has been awarded to EI/ON5GS. Runner ups were 5R8EM and DJ8MS (LA/, SM/, OH/).

 

ON5GS activated two really wanted locator squares in Ireland and made a nice one man show during tough conditions.

 

He was surprised during a lecture in his local radioclub whe PA4EME was giving a presentation there about propagation. Somewhere in the middle this slide showed up….

Best VHF DX-expedition 2009

 

In 2009 there were two categories in which expeditions could be awarded: moonbounce and normal. In the section moonbounce the trophy was awarded to 5Z4EME (PE1L, PA3CEE, PA3EWP)  with E51EME and V5/KT6Q as runner ups. In the other section the trophy was for the Ukrain team UX5UL, UT6UG, UY5UG.

Best VHF DX-expedition 2010

 

In 2010 there were again categories in which expeditions could be awarded: moonbounce and normal. In the section moonbounce the trophy was awarded to 3B8EME (PE1L, PA3CEE, PE9DX)  with 3D2LR/3D2RS (W7GJ, ZL1RS) and DK2ZF as runner ups. In the other section the trophy was ex aequo for the teams from US8ZAL/P and EM5UL/P (UX5UL, UT6UG, UY5UG. Runner ups were DL2NUD (FY, SM, LA) and LA/OH6ZZ)

 

As the members of 3B8EME left from Frankfurt two teammembers of MMMonVHF (DL8EBW and PA4EME) came to say goodbey!

Best VHF DX-expedition 2011

 

The 2011 election was a close contest. In the section EME, the 1st prize goes to C56EME with 7P8EME and 8P9DL/8P9MS/8P9HP as runner ups. In the section meteorscatter, the 1st prize goes to C37MS with 7P8EME and US8ZAL/P as runner ups.

 

The T-shirts that go with the price were printed with the new MMMonVHF logo. It is looking almost the same as the old one but now the new teammembers are added in the decoded text box.
